I have been to this restaurant several times. It was always take-outs, and I love their House Lo Mein. I had nothing against this restaurant until one day, I decided to dine-in. My party ordered 1 appetizer and 2 entrees. The appetizer is worth this review. We ordered "Fried Wonton" ($5). When it came out, it was just fried wonton SKIN, no meat whatsoever. We thought it was mistake, so we asked out waiter if the dish on our table was indeed "Fried Wonton". She said yes, and when I asked if it should've come with meat, like normal regular Fried Wonton does, she said no. At this point I started Google searching "fried wonton". All the pictures are wontons with meat. Even the Merriam-Webster dictionary defines "wonton" with meat filling. The restaurant's menu has no explanation of the "Fried Wonton", it just lists the price. We didn't think that we should expect the "Fried Wonton" from this restaurant to come out any different from other places, as-- come on! Wontons = meat dumplings, no matter what shape they come in! At this point, I approached the 2 Asian ladies working there, 1 young and the other was more mature. I had to argue with them what wontons should look like, even showing them my Google search result. They both insisted that what's served on our table was correct, and refused to refund us. I gave up, because it was getting stupid to argue whether "wontons" should or should not be filled with meat. When I went back to my table, the party next to mine also ordered fried wonton and was disappointed with what they got. We all were in agreement than "fried wonton" should be filled with meat instead of just wonton skin, deep fried in oil. They tried to complain but the restaurant did nothing. Bottom line is, DO NOT order their "Fried Wonton" and question all of the other menu items, to make sure you receive what you think you will. 5 stars for their House Lo Mein. 0 star for their "Fried Wonton" and customer service. Average of 2 stars is already on the generous side, I think. Cheers.

The owners of this restaurant have served 4 generations of my family over the last 20+ years and they have done it well. We love this place. The food is great. The service is great. The fish in the fish tank are big enough to stock a sushi bar. can't go wrong.

Peking has ruined me for Chinese food. I'm from out of town, and I haven't been able to find a Chinese restaurant I like as much as Peking anywhere else. Whenever I come to Twin, I have to eat here as much as humanly possible. Perhaps the wonderful owners should expand with franchises (hint, hint). Don't miss the cashew chicken or orange beef - amazing!

Stopped here on the way back to Seattle from Las Vegas and decided to try this restaurant since the Thai restaurant didn't have good reviews and I felt like Chinese food. My mom and wife actually like the food that they ordered and I liked mine also. The flavor and food was good for the price.

Pretty decent Chinese place, coming from a Chinese from SF. But it is catered towards Americans; note this is northern chinese- but a strange thing is their chow mein v Lo mein: here their chow mein is actually pan fried crispy noodles while their lo mein is the traditional stir fried noodles you would think chow mein would be. They don't actually have lo mein- which is traditionally not a fried noodle. (this was actually clarified by the owner, prior to putting our order in, good call on their part - seeing actual chinese people in the restaurant) But good flavors overall, with the "lo mein" you can taste the "wok heat". five Seasons is a good lighter dish for those who want more veggies and less oil. Generals chicken has good flavor and a nice crisp. All the meat was well cooked. service was ok, though the waitress didn't seem to really know what she was doing.

It's nice and quiet here and the food is really great. Technically you could eat here for under 10$ as even on a Sunday night she asked if I wanted to order off the lunch menu and those are about 7$ a plate. It seems pretty authentic, as they write their orders in Chinese for the cooks... but I've never been to China so I don't know for sure. I've never had anything I didn't like here. Vegetables are fresh, the sauces aren't to thick or heavy but very flavorful. Staff is very nice and attentive. I've never had to wait a long time for seating or service. I come here often when I come to Twin Falls and have always been happy.

Very nice and very clean restaurant. 10 lunch specials that, if you finish them, you have over-eaten. Orange chicken was delightful as were the fresh and crispy spring rolls. Clean, friendly, and polite servers (do not be aghast that I mentioned it; many fast food family restaurant servers are far less than clean). My cup of hot & sour was both... Also tasty and thick enough to float my spoon!! (Photo) Excellent place indeed!

Food is excellent and the prices are very reasonable. Also great with wild game. Jon and Helen run a clean, friendly, outstanding dining establishment. The orange chicken is my favorite.

Presentation was good. Service very good. Very clean. We had sesame and orange chicken and beef chow mein. It was just not what I am used to in Livermore Ca. The orange chicken was very sweet with that marmalade taste and we did not care for it. The chow mein was really good with lots of beef.

Hours listed and menu prices are incorrect. Ordered vegetable chow mein with pot stickers and, although I can eat most anything and am never very picky, I could barely eat any of it. The chow mein was really more of a soup (see photo) that had no flavor. Pretty sure the pot stickers were frozen from the grocery store. Perhaps I picked the wrong items, but these two were very poor quality.

Good service, good portions & good prices but nothing special about the food. Spicy dish wasn't, veges were scarce & sauce bland. Won't be back.

Love this place because: - Food is consistent - Good portions - Really good price for what you get - They always let you order the "lunch" versions/portions, even when it's not lunchtime (you just don't get the soup that comes with it). Favorite Dishes: - General Tso's (all my friends get this every single time - it's that good - on the sweet side) - Sesame Chicken (just as good as general tso's, imo, but is less sweet and more savory) Tip: THEY'RE CLOSED ON MONDAYS

Love this place! You can order off the lunch menu (even if its not lunch hours listed on the menu). The price is great and when I order off the lunch menu I have enough left over for lunch the next day. Best fried rice in town! My favorites are Beef and broccoli, Generals, sweet and sour chicken, chicken chow mein, pot stickers, and egg rolls. And they are always so friendly!

Generous portions and excellent food and service. This was a great choice for Chinese food in Twin Falls. It was also fairly quiet which was a nice change from so many noisy restaurants. I'd go back for sure!

A smaller place with excellent food! I love eating here and the service is always five stars. I usually have chicken disc hes which are pretty hard to screw up. Just got back from San Fransisco and these guys could have taught some folks down there about a couple of dishes. So overall this place is great.

Love this place for an affordable lunch. Super fast and the food taste great. Only one draw back. I frequented this place weekly for over a year and always saw the owner and his wife. Never a smile or a welcome. We still visit but not as often anymore.

LOVE this place! A pastor friend and his wife introduced me and it is a MUST VISIT place every time I'm in town! Go ahead and have the 'Happy Family' entree... it's fabulous! Great service, reasonable prices, good for families... Makes me happy! C:

Tucked away in a shopping center this has became a favorite stop for a lot of locals. Food is great, staff is friendly and they do an excellent job on serving and preparing wild game, better than any other place I have been to.

Just Ok. I don't care for the fried rice. I wanted veggies today, ordered the bbq pork with assorted veggies. Should have ordered something else, but the hot mustard added to the dish & stirred made me want to finish the plate. Hot & Sour Soup was ok. Spring rolls were delicious. I was a couple minutes late for getting soup included with my meal. I should have asked how much they charge for a cup of soup. Looked like they charged me $3.45 for something that was free 10 minutes ago. The Crab Rangoon was really good. I had trouble hanging on to a menu. It was taken away each time someone walked by. I went back up front and fetched one twice. Second time I told them I didn't have any reading material and I LIKE to read menus! Good thing I did keep reading the menu or I wouldn't have tried the Crab Rangoon. I would have liked to have tried the egg rolls but I opted for the Spring Rolls. Stick with the appetizers and you won't be unhappy.

Great service, price, food, and value. My family had dinner on a Sunday evening. I was a little concerned because all the other reviews talked about it being a great place for lunch. I thought the prices were very reasonable and the food was very good if not excellent. I'll definitely go back if we pass through Twin Falls again.

When you crave Chinese food at an awesome price, eat lunch at Peking. They have lunch specials at great prices and the portions are so big you usually take some home.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
